I’ve had a few coincidences recently & they’ve strengthened my belief in God, it feels like I was promised all sorts of ‘good things’ (will be sharing everything on my blog once I’m free) on one condition - if I took sunlight ‘cuz I’ve been sitting in complete darkness since 2017, I’ve shared about it in one of my FB posts as well as on my blog (Karma Article) I remember the only time I switched on a few lights was when I had to go through one of my wallpaper catalogues & the moment I did that we had a power cut! It seems like God was livid and angry with me and He wanted to punish me anyway I was blessed with a lot of good things as promised this entire month, things that I could only dream of… we Alhamdulilah got a windfall 🧿 *touchwood* my dad got a lot of new projects and I got SEVERAL things like furniture, furnishings, all the other stuff required for renovating my bathroom, room everything! LIGHT radiates positivity because they say angels are made up of light & coincidentally or rather ironically now that I wasn’t taking any sunlight, my name ‘Zara’ too means Light in French, Radiance in Spanish and Bright as Dawn in Arabic… when I stopped taking sunlight for a few days, all the good luck also went away, I was unable to get my choice of tiles (for the bathroom) our work got delayed by 2 weeks… but then I apologised to God (Allah) and promised Him I would be taking it from there on and I got Watercoloured Italian Tiles for my bathroom from Petracer, I also got a fancy vintage faucet which is very much similar to the one in their pic… Coincidentally I had already purchased it ie. before I saw that pic “Like minds think alike!” No wonder I chose that brand!
I wanted Moroccan tiles but they were too matte & dull, they’re ideal for Kitchens, which is why I opted for Glossy Moroccan ones with Embossing in their signature Middle Eastern Blue shade. And I finally found one style in a beautiful soft but deep powder/Iris blue colour in a Grey and white combo 75/- per sq. ft (Indian Brand) + Ceramic Calacatta Tiles for the flooring + Italian Watercoloured tiles in a tranquil Sea Foam shade which would go above those beautiful Blue Moroccan Mandalas & Motifs (to create that perfect Mediterranean look) + Light Vanilla Dotted Tiles again from another Italian Brand for my Shower Area. The Vanilla Pastel Yellow ones were very elusive and it’s my fav colour, you don’t get these wallpaper like dotted tiles that easily, especially not in India so they’ll look perfect for the shower panel, I wanted a very light colour there for more visibility I didn’t want that area to be too dark… I have already taken a plush fur coral bath mat which would go perfectly with my fresh, summery theme… all the colours are very soft and sober. For my bedroom I’ve chosen (faux) Wooden flooring which is hypoallergenic - it doesn’t collect dust and it is water résistent unlike real wood, moreover you don’t get that shade in Pine wood very easily, not even in abroad because most of them are real and they are either laminated or varnished so they look very yellow-ish and eggy or darker, mine resembles the one they use in Doll Houses, it’s light like Birch Wood but has a beautiful warmth to it, it’s basically light Pine🌲 I got that from a whole seller at a flat 50% discount for 90/- per sq. ft. I’ll share the brands later.
I also got a Persian Runner and other stuff for my bedroom…
🧿 All the Kohler items here were very elusive, it was impossible to find ‘em in French Gold finish & I thought I’ll have to change my plans but nothing is impossible if God is helping you, I’m not trying to be platitudinous but luckily we got each & every item right here in a nearby store! I was busy searching for it in the whole of Mumbai! Lol It is one of the most upscale places here, everything arrived in “fancy” shopping bags, I was busy admiring all this stuff, I got the shower head & arm from Amazon cuz it has been discontinued n they had only one piece left which came all the way from Ludhiana! Now they’ve come up with Rain Duet n that is a little bulkier, it has a dark grey nozzle which looks a bit mismatched, I wanted a simple and delicate showerhead 🚿 with a cream coloured nozzle because I was already getting Rainduet 3.0 multifunction hand shower so I didn’t want to splurge there, I love, love the top shower it is so beautiful ✨ it’s like a dream… it looks exactly like the ones you see in Old Hollywood movies, a typical classic Golden Shower, even the hand held one is good, I got a matching hose, diverter with faucet, bracket, towel ring, etc. The rainduet 3.0 handshower was all sold out, there was only one piece left in stock at the store & there’s a huge demand for that model, they’d just been supplied with all the stock the very same morning so I actually feel very lucky that I got it in that finish because you only have Chrome everywhere and the van came the same morning when my mother visited the store. Like most online places I was given a nice discount by the dealer. I also wanted a BBW hand wash🧴in a particular fragrance because of its aesthetic beige/ecru colour but it was sold out everywhere even in the US, so I asked one of the store managers if she had any and she said the malls were still shut so she has no idea but I guess she sent an enquiry cuz they updated the stock online and I finally had the chance to grab it for 250/- (sale)
